Give
Generosity is part of our worship.
Giving is an opportunity to honour God, invest in His Kingdom and help us continue reaching people, serving families and building the ministries God has entrusted to Open Arms Centre.
Thank you for your generosity.
Your giving helps support the ongoing ministry of Open Arms Centre — our church family, children and young people, outreach, worship, ministry, events and the work God has called us to do.
Thank you for giving and for being part of the family.
A Biblical Heart of Generosity
Giving is more than a financial transaction. Scripture presents generosity as worship, stewardship and an expression of faith in God.
We encourage people to give prayerfully and willingly, not through pressure or compulsion.
Tithing
Scripture teaches us to honour God with what He has entrusted to us. The biblical tithe means a tenth, and many Christians use this principle as a foundation for regular and intentional giving.
Tithing reminds us that everything we have ultimately comes from God and helps us put Him first in the way we steward our finances.
Proverbs 3:9–10
Malachi 3:10
Sowing Generously
Scripture uses the picture of sowing and reaping when teaching about generosity. Just as seed is sown with an expectation of fruit, we are encouraged to live generously and trust God as our provider.
When we give, we are sowing into God’s work — helping ministry happen, people to be reached, lives to be changed and others to be blessed.
2 Corinthians 9:6–11
Giving Cheerfully
God is interested in the heart behind our giving. Scripture teaches that giving should not be reluctant, forced or motivated by pressure.
We encourage everyone to prayerfully decide what they believe God is leading them to give and then give freely, thankfully and joyfully.
2 Corinthians 9:7
We give because God has first given to us.
The Bible connects generosity with sowing and reaping, God’s provision and His blessing.
We don’t give to try to buy God’s favour or earn His blessing. We give from gratitude and faith, recognising Him as our source and trusting Him with every area of our lives.
God’s blessing is greater than financial increase alone. He provides what we need, enables us to become increasingly generous, produces thanksgiving and equips us to continue blessing others.
2 Corinthians 9:6
Giving with purpose.
Your generosity helps Open Arms Centre continue serving people, supporting ministry, investing in children and young people, reaching our community and creating opportunities for people to encounter Jesus.
